Getting Ready for the Launch
Ever since I started this project back in October 2025, or even earlier actually, using Notion at first, i'm trying to get this thing ready for launch. A lot has been happening in the world, not only in a geopolitical sense but also in the realm of technology and 3D visualization. Scope creep is real, I just keep on finding things to add, and the more I add, the more I find to add or to adjust. But at some point, you just have to say "enough is enough" and get it out there. It just a pain to get to the point where I feel confident enough to say "lets go".
In the past week I've been adding a graph visualization of the content, which seems to be a good alternative to the sidebar for navigating the content, and also a fun way to explore the connections between different topics. One thing I really want to finish is the SFM section, because it feels like the combination of QGIS, Blender and SFM is slowly turning into the trifecta of spatial investigation. Giving courses i've also noticed the modality of ways to present information. Some people prefer video, some prefer text, some prefer interactive content. I want to make sure that the knowledge base caters to all these different preferences, and it's one of the things that AI excels at. However it still is a question of getting your hands dirty and I want to make that as easy as possible. I've been working on an addon that teaches Blender from within Blender. There is a lot of pages that need updating but i will fill these as relevant projects come along.
- I want to make the knowledgebase agent ready -Finish the initial SFM section
- Finish Blender Tutor, the addon that teaches Blender from within Blender
- I want a focus on agentic implementation, both QGIS, Blender and a Colmap based SFM approach seem to lend them selves for this very well.
- Need to figure out a way to work in a more constructive way with video. I still think it has its place but it is very time consuming to produce and at the same time hard to keep up to date with the pace of change in the field. Build a dashboard for projects
- Add more relevant visuals/interactive elements to the pages
- Create a better template for pages
- Make the three boxes at the top of the page more consistent and informative.
- Connect the pages in the graph in a more intuitive way
