A course is a structured learning path that takes you from point A to point B for a specific capability. Courses are compositions of the reference library, not copies of it: each course adds the end-to-end flow, the exercises, and the investigation context, and points you to the canonical reference page whenever depth is needed.

That's the whole design. The reference pages (tools, add-ons, techniques, theory) have exactly one home each. A course is the overview that ties the building blocks together — which is also why a new course is cheap to build: draft the overview and step flow, fill in any missing building blocks, and you're done.

Available Courses

00 — Foundation: Blender for Visual Investigation

The baseline course. The 3D world, data & methodology, and the Blender skills investigative work actually uses — the prerequisite layer every other course builds on.

01 — Site Reconstruction by Camera Matching

Rebuild a physical location in 3D from satellite imagery and OSINT photos. A georeferenced 1:1 baseline, camera matching via perspective solving, modeling and photomatch verification, and a house-build final project.

02 — Gaussian Splatting

From video to a navigable 3D scene. What splatting is, how to build a splat, the tool ecosystem, Blender integration, and the investigation context.


Planned Courses

  • Camera Matching — matching a 3D camera to a single photograph
  • Camera Tracking — reconstructing camera paths from video footage
  • Photogrammetry — mesh reconstruction from overlapping imagery
  • Geolocation & Chronolocation — where and when footage was recorded
  • AI Mesh Generation — plausible geometry from AI tools (Trellis, Hunyuan3D, Pical3D)

Each planned course will follow the same structure: concept → theory → pipeline → tools (references) → Blender integration → investigation context → final project.


Course Structure

Every topic course follows the same shape (see the topic architecture template):

  • Foundations — what it is, how it works, why it matters
  • Pipeline — the step-by-step process from source to output
  • Tools & Addons — your options, compared, linked to canonical pages
  • Blender Integration — bringing it into your 3D workflow
  • Investigation Context — documentation, admissibility, limitations
  • Final Project — a complete walkthrough from start to finish
