Collaboration is cross-cutting in the Research Gate — it applies at every stage, not just one. Two halves: practical teamwork (below), and the independent-review layer that makes a reconstruction defensible by being checked.

Scene organization​
Linked files, keep models seperate from the scene.
This preserves a single source of truth per asset, and aligns with preserve-store's separation principle. Clear ownership per asset or area keeps changes accountable.
File sharing​
shared folders, google drive, proton drive, etc.
Apply the shared naming convention from preserve-store so files don't drift between collaborators — and share only working copies, never originals.
The Independent Review Gate​
Before publication or handover, an independent reviewer (someone not otherwise involved in the reconstruction) checks the work against the Research Gate checklist. This is the "who verifies the log?" layer — the difference between self-assessed and independently-assessed rigor.
What the reviewer checks​
- Sources & chain of custody: registry completeness, provenance, hashes logged (collect / preserve-store).
- Transformation log: every processing/enhancement step documented (process).
- Decision log: reconstruction decisions traceable to evidence, with confidence levels (define / analyze).
- Uncertainty: quantified, not guessed; method selected appropriately.
- Validation evidence: projection checks, geometric verification, confidence map (validate-report).
- Report honesty: limitations stated, boundaries respected.
Resolving disagreements​
- Disagreements are recorded in the decision log, along with how they were resolved.
- A reviewer's rejection is not failure — it is the moment the process becomes defensible: the issues are fixed before publication, not discovered after.
Summary​
Designate a reviewer for every project, however small — a second pair of eyes on the log is the cheapest form of quality control.
