Blender Integration
Introductionโ
This module brings the trained model into Blender. You import the splat, learn what you can and cannot do to it, and measure on top of it โ including where a splat model must be paired with mesh content before a measurement can be trusted. By the end the splat sits in your scene next to the rest of your evidence.
Module Overviewโ
| Est. time | 60 minutes |
| Type | Application |
| Prerequisites | Module 03 โ The Pipeline: Capture to Splat |
| Read first | Blender Integration, then Measurements, Scale & Dimension |
Learning Outcomesโ
By the end of this module you will be able to:
- Import a trained splat model into Blender and place it against source footage
- State what a splat model supports in Blender and what it does not โ editability, measurement, export
- Measure on top of a splat reconstruction, using the shared measurements reference
- Combine splat and mesh content in one scene, with the limits stated
Module Contentsโ
The import, the supported operations, and the workflow for placing a splat against source footage.
You'll learn: Where a splat model fits in a Blender scene โ and where it needs mesh content beside it.
The shared measurements reference: precise measurement on top of a reconstruction, applied here to splats.
You'll learn: How to measure a splat reconstruction defensibly, and when the answer is "not from the splat alone".
